Sex workers and hard drugs all on the NDIS

Under Labor, taxpayer dollars are being spent on National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) funded “Sexual Activity Supports” services.

Last year, the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) confirmed that these types of sexual activities can be “reasonable and necessary,” and therefore can be legitimately paid for by the taxpayer funded NDIS.

Incredibly, there are no plans to stop this, with the CEO of the agency saying that there is no intention to limit the scope of this practice, by introducing guidelines for using NDIS funds for these services.

Unfortunately, this means that the NDIS will continue to fund “Sexual Activity Supports” for participants.

To add insult to injury, there are also reports that taxpayers are footing the bill for lucrative NDIS packages worth millions of dollars for convicted rapists and sex offenders.

Disturbing evidence has exposed that 9 out of 10 service providers demonstrated fraudulent behaviour, exploiting $2 billion dollars on cars, holidays, and even illicit drugs. Furthermore, an extraordinary 150,000 of these providers were unregistered.

Given that the cost of the NDIS has ballooned to over $42 billion - more than Medicare and the Age Pension - it is outrageous that a portion of this money will continue to be used for ‘Sexual Activity Supports” and for the benefit of convicted rapists and sexual predators.

This is another disgraceful example of how Labor is wasting our money on the wrong priorities.
